ILO holds discussions with Labour Minister on Future Work Forum

The Directors and Technical Specialist of the ILO DWT and Office for the Caribbean met with Sen. the Hon. Baptiste-Primus, Minister of Labour and Executives of the Ministry of Labour and Small Enterprise Development, Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday 26 July, to discuss an upcoming event titled "Forum on Future of Work";

The Forum is an initiative of the ILO that is designed to understand and respond effectively to the changes in the World of Work. It is structured around four thematic conversations: work and society; decent jobs for all; the organization of work and production; and the governance of work.

The Forum will take place on August 29 and will target tripartite stakeholders, representatives from various youth arms and tertiary level institutions.

All ILO member States, including Trinidad and Tobago, have been invited to undertake national "Future of Work" dialogues.
