ILO highly estimates Azerbaijan's efforts in reducing unemployment

The meeting took place within the framework of the plenary ILO session in Geneva.
According to Muslimov, due to successful policy pursued by Azerbaijan, the unemployment rate in the country has been reduced to five percent, and the poverty level to 5,3 percent.
During the meeting Muslimov said that Azerbaijan pays high attention to the job placement of young specialists, and to creating conditions for cooperation between the labor market and the system of professional system.
In turn, Jose Manuel Salazar highly assessed Azerbaijan's activity in the field of unemployment reduction and job provision. According to Salazar, the country's labor market needs a more qualified work force.
Salazar noted that ILO is ready to assist Azerbaijan with upgrading the systems of professional education.
The sides also exchanged views on future cooperation at the meeting.
