ILO to attend the 2016 COTU – K Conference in Kenya

The ILO Assistant Director-General and Regional Director for Africa, Aeneas C. Chuma, will address Trade Unions of Kenya on 21 May 2016 in Kisumu.

ABIDJAN (ILO NEWS) – Aeneas Chapinga Chuma, ILO Assistant Director-General and Regional Director for Africa, will attend the Thirteenth Quinquennial Delegates’ Conference of the Central Organization of Trade Unions of Kenya, COTU (K) at Tom Mboya Labour College in Kisumu, Kenya.

Mr Chuma, who will be representing the Director-General of the ILO, Mr Guy Ryder, is set to meet the work of work of Kenya, including labour leaders of the East African country.

This year’s COTU – K’s conference theme will shape Africa’s pressing priority under the theme “Eliminate Corruption for Kenya’s Economic Growth”. The objective is to identify challenges and opportunities for concrete responses to the threat.
