ILO and social partners discuss social dialogue and mutual gains bargaining
ILO facilitates knowledge sharing among social partners in social dialogue and collective bargaining to build sound industrial relations for sustainable development and competitiveness.
Addis Ababa (ILO News): The ILO, in collaboration with the Ethiopian Employers’ Federation and Confederation of Ethiopian Trade Unions organized a three-day training workshop on social dialogue and mutual gains bargaining.
The training, which takes place in Adama, Ethiopia from 24 – 26, 2016, equipped tripartite constituents with skills on tripartism, social dialogue and mutual gains collective bargaining.
ILO promotes sound industrial relations and effective social dialogue as means to create virtuous cycle by translating productivity and competitiveness gains into better working conditions.
ILO is implementing a Technical Cooperation Project in Ethiopia, which is funded by the DANIDA on “Building sound Industrial Relations for Sustainable Development and Competitiveness”. The project aims at strengthening the capacity of EEF and CETU to promote tripartism, peaceful industrial relation and social dialogue for social and economic development of Ethiopia.
