The III UAM-ILO Spain Meeting to discuss the evaluation of labour reforms is held
Experts from the academic world discussed the effects of the tripartite agreed Spanish labour reform.

The III UAM-ILO Spain Meeting has been held at the headquarters of the Autonomous University of Madrid, which has been resumed after the pandemic and has taken place in development of the collaboration agreement signed between both institutions in 2018 within the framework of the "initiative on the future of work" promoted by the International Labour Organization on the occasion of its centenary.
On this occasion, the Meeting focused on the current issue of "Labour reforms" and their evaluation, almost a year after the Spanish labour reform agreed by tripartite agreement and implemented through Royal Decree-Law 32/2021, of 28 December. The meeting was jointly organised by the Autonomous University of Madrid, the ILO Office for Spain and the University of Alcalá de Henares, with the participation of representatives from the Universities of Barcelona, Carlos III, Zaragoza, Complutense, UNED, Valencia, Autónoma de Barcelona and Rey Juan Carlos. The event was inaugurated by the Rector of the Autonomous University, Amaya Mendikoetxea, the Secretary of State for Social Rights, Nacho Álvarez, and the Director of the ILO Office for Spain, Félix Peinado.
On 30 November and 1 December 2022, experts in different fields debated the effects of labour reforms to improve competitiveness, the situation of the labour market and reduce social inequality, thus contributing to the aims of social justice and decent work advocated by the ILO.
