Guy Ryder meets with Dutch government, social partners and enterprises

On 25 March, Guy Ryder addressed a congress on ‘Industrial relations in transition’ organized by the Dutch government. He stressed the importance of a policy oriented towards growth and jobs with social dialogue as a crucial pillar, thereby praising the Dutch commitment to dialogue.

“The Netherlands is choosing to address difficult labour market conditions and financial circumstances through your traditional processes of social dialogue”, Guy Ryder pointed out. He met with Lilianne Ploumen, Dutch minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, with the leadership of the Employment and Social Affairs Ministry, with representatives of workers and employers organizations, with the president of the Social and Economic Council (SER), and with representatives of Dutch enterprises. He gave a few interviews in Dutch newspapers.
