ILO Governing Body to hold its 353rd Session
The 353rd Session of the ILO's Governing Body will take place in Geneva from 10 to 20 March 2025. During this meeting, members will discuss key policy matters and country-specific developments under the Organization’s supervisory procedures.

GENEVA (ILO News) – The 353rd Session of the International Labour Organization’s (ILO) Governing Body will be held at ILO headquarters in Geneva from 10–20 March 2025.
The session’s agenda will feature discussions on the strategic outcomes foreseen under the Programme and Budget proposals for 2026-27 and crucial policy areas concerning the world of work, including a draft resolution pertaining to the Second World Summit for Social Development, for transmission to and possible adoption by the International Labour Conference. The Governing Body will also discuss the ILO’s strategy on decent work in supply chains, and the Global Framework on Chemicals for a planet free of hazardous waste.
Moreover, the Governing Body will examine country-specific developments, including follow-ups on the implementation of resolutions related to Belarus, Myanmar, Venezuela, Bangladesh and Nicaragua.
The Governing Body is the Executive Body of the International Labour Organization. It meets three times a year – in March, June, and November – to take decisions on ILO policies, the agenda of the International Labour Conference, and the ILO Programme and Budget.
