ILO Governing Body to hold 352nd Session

The 352nd Session of the ILO's Governing Body will take place in Geneva from 28 October to 7 November. During this session, members will address a wide array of work-related topics and review country-specific situations under the Organization's supervisory framework.

GENEVA (ILO News) – The 352nd Session of the International Labour Organization’s (ILO) Governing Body will take place at the ILO’s headquarters from 28 October–7 November.

The Governing Body’s agenda will feature key discussions on the ILO’s strategic plan for 2026–2029, advancements in the Global Coalition for Social Justice, efforts to promote greater democratization in the ILO’s governance, and the Organization’s contribution to the upcoming World Summit for Social Development in 2025.

Members will also engage in follow-up discussions on the implementation of the resolution addressing the Russian Federation's aggression against Ukraine. Additionally, there will be deliberations on Palestine's status within the ILO and its participation rights in ILO meetings.

As part of the ILO’s supervisory procedures, the Governing Body will examine several country cases, including Belarus, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Bangladesh, Guatemala, and Myanmar.

The Governing Body is the Executive Body of the International Labour Organization. It meets three times a year, in March, June and November, to take decisions on ILO policy, the agenda of the International Labour Conference and the ILO Programme and Budget.
