The event was organized within the framework of the project of the Institute of War and Peace Reporting in close cooperation with the ILO’s International Programme on the Elimination of Child Labour (ILO-IPEC).

Taking part in the roundtable meeting were representatives of the government, international and non-governmental organizations as well as journalists.

Participants discussed different aspects of the impact of labour migration on child labour. They recommended the government to include the notion of child labour into the country’s legislation and to draft a policy of social protection of labour migrants’ children that will economically stimulate migrants to get social insurance and will increase their responsibility for their families.
