EU Commissioner Andor: “ILO and EU share a common ambition to make the world a better place to work and live in”

EU Commissioner László Andor, taking the floor at the ILC Plenary underscored the common values of the ILO and the European Commission and the increasing cooperation between both institutions.

During his address, Commissioner Andor referred to the constructive cooperation between EU and ILO on youth guarantees and underlined that all EU member states have ratified the eight ILO core labour standards, including the Forced Labour Convention. He also stated that "full and productive employment, decent work and social protection should be included in the post-2015 framework”.

“We share a common ambition to make the world a better place to work and live in”, the EU Commissioner concluded his speech.
