Delegation of Canadian Embassy Visits SADA Women Centre

A delegation of the Canadian Embassy at Ankara including Emina Tudakovic, Regional Director; Marie-Pier Côté, Head of Refugee Unit; and Kent Domries, Officer at Refugee Unit visited the ILO Project Office at Gaziantep on 10 April 2019 to obtain information on the works of ILO Office for Turkey in Response to the Refugee Crisis, assess onsite the work in Gaziantep and potential cooperation issues.
Hosted by Bilge Çoban, ILO Field Coordinator and Mehmet Akif Kılınç, Field Assistant, the visiting delegation was provided information on the work in Gaziantep undertaken in the context of ILO’s Refugee Response Programme, local partnerships and major domains of work.
The delegation visited also the SADA Women Development and Solidarity Centre operating under the Project “Strengthening the Resilience of Syrian Women and Girls” being implemented in Gaziantep jointly by UN Women, ILO and ASAM; walked around the classrooms, and obtained information on the newly-established SADA Women’s Cooperative.
