Decent Work Country Programme Discussed in Tajikistan: Results and Future Prospects
On 5 October 2017, the Ministry of Labour, Migration and Employment of Tajikistan hosted a meeting of the National Tripartite Committee for Decent Work (NTCDW). It was opened by Emin Sanginzoda, First Deputy Minister of Labour, Migration and Employment.

In his opening address, Azizbek Sharipov, Chairman of Employer`s Union of Tajikistan, welcomed the participants and expressed overall satisfaction with the implementation of the DWCP 2015-20177 However, he noted that the programme could and should focus more on employers’ capacity building components. Nigora Nazarzoda, First Deputy Chair of the Federation of Independent TRADE Unions of Tajikistan (FITUT), welcomed the Committee members and ILO representatives and wished them fruitful discussions at the meeting.
National Consultant Rustam Babajanov presented a review of the DWCP 2016-2017 implementation by the tripartite partners in Tajikistan and the ILO. In particular, he focused on the programme outcomes and lessons learned. Artiom Sici, ILO Social Protection Officer in Tajikistan, shared the results of three Assessment-Based National Dialogues (ABND) on Social Protection and future plans.
The meeting continued with a presentation of Cezar Dragutan, Chief Technical Adviser of the ILO G20 Skills Project, who provided an overview of the G20 Skills project, its objectives and expected results to be achieved in Tajikistan.
The meeting participants discussed plans and opportunities for further cooperation between the Tajik constituents and the ILO on the Decent Work Country Programme (DWCP) until 2020.
