Cambodia’s largest career fair returns for its 15th year, offering opportunities and shaping the future of work

Cambodia’s leading career fair has empowered thousands for 15 years, linking talent to opportunity and fuelling national progress.

PHNOM PENH (ILO News) – For 15 consecutive years, Cambodia’s largest Career and Productivity Fair has played a vital role in advancing the country’s socio-economic development and improving livelihoods, in alignment with Cambodia’s Vision 2050 and its preparation for Least Developed Country graduation, serving over 478,000 jobseekers and connecting them to more than 200,000 job opportunities.

This year’s career fair, organized under the theme “A Pathway to Productivity: Bridging Skills, Technology, and Job Opportunities”, aims to provide a dynamic platform for jobseekers, employers, educators, and institutions to connect, exchange opportunities, promote productivity mindsets, and foster collaboration in support of Cambodia’s talent pool and economic growth.

Organized by the National Employment Agency (NEA) under the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, with support from the International Labour Organization (ILO) and partners, the 2025 National Career and Productivity Fair took place on 1-2 November 2025 at Koh Pich Exhibition Hall in Phnom Penh, featuring future-of-work skills, on-the-spot interviews, online applications, and productivity seminar led by experts. The career fair also hosted professionals from various occupations who shared success stories and career insights to inspire Cambodia’s youth entering the workforce.

“Currently, to effectively respond to rapid changes—particularly digitalization and automation—it is essential to boost productivity by transforming the workforce into a skilled and highly efficient one through strengthening technical and vocational education and training (TVET) and advancing technological skills,” said His Excellency Heng Sour, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training, Cambodia.

"The ILO is proud to support the career fair, working hand in hand with the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, the National Employment Agency, and all organizing partners to strengthen labour market systems, promote decent work, and ensure that no one is left behind including youth, women, persons with disabilities, and groups in vulnerable situations. We believe that all young people had the opportunity to find decent work through this career fair that will allow them to develop their skills, fulfil their potential, and contribute to national productivity that will drive innovation, economic progress and prosperity for years to come,” said Sophorn Tun, National Coordinator for Cambodia, ILO Country Office for Thailand, Cambodia and Lao People's Democratic Republic.

This year’s career fair also engaged youth in Cambodia through a public speaking competition held prior to the fair, under the theme, “The Understanding of High School Students’ Productivity” to cultivate critical and innovative thinking about solutions to labour productivity challenges while enhancing students’ communication and presentation skills, building trust and fostering leadership. The ideas shared during the public speaking competition have the potential to shape the future of work in the country and strengthen collaboration between the government, schools, and private sector.

Delivered with the support of three major ILO development cooperation projects, the 2025 National Career and Productivity Fair reflects a strong commitment to inclusive employment and skills development. The three projects include Decent Employment for Youth in Cambodia project phase 3 (DEYIII), funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, the Promoting the Global Development Initiative with a Focus on South-South Cooperation in Employment in ASEAN project (ProSSCE-ASEAN), and ILO/China Partnership Programme on Strengthening Skills Development in Cambodia, Lao People's Democratic Republic and Myanmar through South-South and Triangular cooperation project funded by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People's Republic of China.
