PHNOM PENH (ILO News) – A total of 47,000 people took part in Cambodia’s National Career and Labour Productivity Fair 2026, connecting jobseekers with more than 35,000 job opportunities and providing thousands of young people with career guidance and practical support to navigate a changing world of work.

The International Labour Organization (ILO) supported the two-day event through projects aimed at advancing youth employment, skills development and labour market cooperation in Cambodia and across ASEAN.

Held on 12–13 September 2026 in Phnom Penh under the theme “Skills and Jobs: Labour Productivity for Sustainable Economic Growth,” the fair brought together government ministries, employers, education and training institutions, employment opportunities development partners and young jobseekers, including people in vulnerable situations.

Now in its 16th year, the fair is a major national platform for job matching, talent acquisition, career guidance and the exchange of labour market information. For the first time, the event featured a dedicated Career Park, offering pre-employment and career support services, including CV preparation, career counselling and on-site interviews. The Career Park provided services to 16,221participants and supported the preparation of 3,100CVs.

For the 16th year, the National Career and Productivity Fair 2026 supports job matching and talent acquisition for sustainable economic growth in Cambodia.

“This national fair brought real job opportunities to job seekers. It also demonstrated that Cambodia continues to offer abundant employment prospects for our young people, something we can all be proud of. The Royal Government of Cambodia will continue to pursue further reforms to foster more conducive investment environment for both large enterprises and MSMEs to increase investment and generate more employment opportunities for our citizens,” said His Excellency Heng Sour, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training, Cambodia.

The fair also provided a forum for young people and jobseekers to hear from government and private-sector representatives about changing labour market demands and the skills increasingly needed for employment. Discussions covered soft skills, technical competencies, technology adoption, the skills needed to succeed in Cambodia’s changing labour market and ways to improve labour productivity in the digital economy.

“Sustainable solutions to employment and productivity challenges can only be achieved through collaboration among government, employers, workers, education and training institutions, and development partners, while youth are the change agents,” said Helen Kirsch, Technical Officer on Social Protection and Jobs, Officer in Charge of the ILO Joint Project Office in Cambodia. “The ILO remains firmly committed to working with all its partners in Cambodia to promote more and better jobs, stronger labour market institutions, higher productivity, and decent work for all.”
