Better productivity with flexible working hours
Happy employees for a successful business - Better productivity with flexible working hours – says a national awareness raising campaign launched on 01 December 2015 by Organization of Employers of Macedonia (OEM) with the ILO’s support.
15 December 2015
The campaign promotes the benefits of decent working time arrangements to both workers and employers in The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. Campaign products highlight that people with decent working hours are more productive and better for the business in the long term.
Campaign products include printed posters, advertisements in business magazines, web banners and calendars with infogaphics distributed to HR departments of the OEM members. The campaign seeks to involve employees as well through a Facebook page and a Twitter account introducing the hash tag #DecentWorkingHours (#ПристојноРаботноВреме).
The awareness raising campaign was agreed on a tripartite technical workshop organized by the ILO on 4-5 November 2014 under the title “Promoting Decent Working Time: Balancing Workers’ Needs with Business Requirements”. Participants discussed with national and international experts how to develop innovative working time arrangements that can benefit both workers and employers. During the workshop, existing good practices in enterprises from different sectors were identified.
Following the workshop, amendments to the Labour Relations Law were adopted in March 2015 relating to the organization of working time.
