100 days after Typhoon Haiyan struck the Philippines, a high-level delegation organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and led by Roslinda Baldoz, Secretary for the Department of Labour and Employment (DOLE), visited Japan to learn more about natural disaster recovery and gather experiences that can help create a long-term rebuilding strategy for Typhoon Haiyan victims.

Mr Yoshiteru Uramoto, the ILO's Assistant Director-General and Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific, is to pay a visit to the Philippines to visit those affected by Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda), talk to workers taking part in emergency employment programmes and review efforts to rebuild the livelihoods of those affected.

The ILO Regional Director for Asia and Pacific , Mr Yoshiteru Uramoto, made his first visit to Pakistan from 12th to 13th November 2013. During his visit he met the constituents, ILO Office staff and other development partners to understand more about the social and economic context of the country, the implementation of the decent work agenda and explore possibilities of ILO support to the country.
