Informal economy: what are the challenges for Unions in India?

Transition from informal to formal economy is one of the topics of discussion at the 103rd International Labour Conference which is being held from 28 May to 12 June 2014 in Geneva. The following is an interview with Pillay Chandrasekharan, President of the Kerala Branch of Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) who expresses his views on the challenges faced by Unions organize informal workers in India.
