The submission of amendments to the texts being considered by technical committees at the Conference is done through an online platform.
Accessing the platform
Government delegates: Accredited Government delegates or advisers, acting either in a national capacity or on behalf of a regional group, or other group of countries, can access the system by entering the delegate’s email address that was provided for accreditation to the Conference and the PIN code received from the Conference Secretariat.
Delegates are reminded that amendments must be seconded by at least one other member of the Committee in order to be considered by the Committee.
Employer and Worker delegates: The submission of amendments is centralized through the groups’ secretariats, which have been provided with access codes.
A two-step process
1. Submission
The times for submitting amendments online are indicated in each Committee’s webpage and in the Daily Bulletin.
Kindly note that amendments may only be submitted in English, French or Spanish.
When preparing the amendments it is particularly important to ensure that:
the purpose of the amendment is clear and that the amendment is consistent with the structure of the text and with ILO terminology; and
the amendment is manageable: It has a uniform purpose and will trigger only one discussion – amendments which relate to two or more distinct concepts should be split into two or more amendments to facilitate discussion.
For amendments to be processed, they must be validated by the secretariat of the Committee concerned. As soon as all the amendments have been processed, you will receive a confirmation by email from the secretariat of the Committee concerned. If one or more amendment(s) require(s) further clarification, you will be informed in the same message.
