The video spot focuses on the need to address stigma and discrimination associated with TB infection as it prevents a patient from seeking and adhering to proper treatment.
The stigma and discrimination associated with TB may lead a person with TB symptoms to not seek proper and regular treatment, infecting many others as a consequence. Creating awareness and sensitizing people towards the disease and needs of those affected will go a long way in ensuring that a TB patient seeks and completes the full course of treatment.
