Effective communication during labour inspection visits

Effective Communication Trainings during Labour Inspection visits were conducted in Cherkassy, Lviv, Odessa and Kherson from 19 till 30 June, 2017. During the trainings, labour inspectors worked out techniques of effective communication with employers and workers and adapted standard communication techniques to the work of labour inspectors. They discussed key benefits of official employment for employers, workers and government and also developed strategies of cooperation with state institutions within the LI visits. The total number of the participants of the trainings were 116, including 104 labour inspectors. The trainings were conducted to strengthen the Pilot LI Campaign, held within the outcomes 3 and 4 of the ILO Project “The effectiveness of the labour inspection system and of social dialogue mechanisms is strengthened”. The overall objective of the Project is to provide support to the Government’s reform of the labour inspection system to ensure effective labour law compliance. The project addresses institutional and legal needs on the level of national labour law compliance mechanisms, namely the State Labour Service.
