Educating communities to reduce abusive recruitment practices in Pakistan

This video features the REFRAME project interventions to educate communities on safe and regular labour migration through trained community change-makers

With a view increase prospective migrant workers’ access to accurate and reliable information on safe and regular labour migration, the REFRAME project in partnership with Mera Maan, enhanced the capacity of local civil society organizations and 27 community change makers from 5 high migration districts of Punjab and Khyber Pukhtunkhwa, Pakistan. This video shows the process of the change-makers’ training, community mobilization, and hosting of information sessions at the grassroots level. Through hosting information sessions at the community level, change-makers reached 9,800 migrant workers directly, and 89,000 persons through word of mouth, social media and messaging apps.
