Educated youth migrate for a brighter future

In the ongoing global jobs crisis, many of Europe’s most educated young people are learning a bitter lesson; for highly educated young people, it’s becoming very hard to find a job which matches the skills acquired at university. It’s a particular problem in Portugal, where nearly 2 in 5 young people are unemployed. Now, many of Portugal’s best and brightest are looking for opportunities abroad, leaving their country.
