Developments in the United Nations system

This document presents an update on recent developments in the United Nations (UN) system and key aspects of ILO engagement with the UN since the Governing Body’s last discussion of this topic at its 352nd Session (October–November 2024). It highlights progress towards the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the ILO’s contributions to advancing the Secretary-General’s Our Common Agenda. It also provides information on the recent system-wide reviews of key elements of the UN development system reform. The Office’s continued integration with the UN development system at the country level and its efforts to increase the involvement of the social partners in UN processes are also discussed.
