Sectoral meetings held in 2024 and proposals for sectoral work in 2025

The Governing Body is invited to approve the ILO Guidelines on the medical examination of fishers and the revised code of practice on safety and health in forestry work, authorize the publication of the respective records of proceedings, including the outcome documents, and to request the Director-General to bear in mind, when drawing up proposals for future work, the recommendations made by the meetings (section I); to endorse the proposals in relation to global sectoral meetings for the fourth quarter of 2024 to the third quarter of 2025 (section II); to place an item on the agenda of its 353rd Session (March 2025) on the possible revision of the ILO–UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers (1966), including related procedural aspects (section IV); and to take note of the United Nations System-wide Strategy for Water and Sanitation (section V) (see the draft decision in paragraph 58).
