Enhanced programme of development cooperation for the occupied Arab territories

This document provides an update on the progress made within the framework of the ILO programme of development cooperation in the occupied Arab territories. Amid the unprecedented crisis affecting the Palestinian labour market, due to the ongoing war in Gaza and escalating violence in the West Bank, the Governing Body is invited to: (i) take note of the information provided in this document; (ii) take note of the progress made under the Office’s emergency response plan to address the urgent needs of Palestinian workers and employers; and (iii) acknowledge the financial support already provided to the ILO programme by several Member States and call upon others to contribute towards the full implementation of the emergency response plan recovery programme, in close coordination with the ILO constituents, to promote decent work and social justice for all Palestinians, thereby contributing to the humanitarian-development-peace nexus (see the draft decision in paragraph 40).
