Follow-up to the resolution concerning employment and decent work for peace and resilience

The paper provides a brief overview of the rationale, objective and content of the new Employment and Decent Work for Peace and Resilience Recommendation, 2017 (No. 205), adopted by the International Labour Conference in June 2017. It also establishes the priorities of a possible strategy for action by the Office for the period 2018–23 aimed at giving effect to the related resolution in support of constituents’ efforts to implement the Recommendation.The Governing Body is invited to provide guidance on the proposed follow-up action and to request the Director-General to implement, within the existing resources, the measures identified in the resolution (see the draft decision in paragraph 47)
