Technopreneurship: The digital path to business resilience
This policy brief incorporates issues and recommendations brough forward by the policy dialogue on “Technopreneurship": The Digital Path to Business Resilience, held in Colombo in September 2022. It provides insights on enhancing talent pool; re-calibrating the regulatory environment; streamlining financial assistance; advancing female technopreneurship; improving commercialization; and accessing new markets.
The key issues identified were primarily in the areas related to the gaps in education, guidance and awareness creation; digital divide; gender disparities; financial literacy and access to finance; commercialization and access to markets. The forum agreed on several policy recommendations, such as driving education reforms to enhance technological education; improving access to finance; advancing landscape for women in technopreneurship; reducing regional disparities; supporting commercialization; bench marking global products; and exploring new markets.

The second policy dialogue, held in Colombo in September 2022, under the theme of “Technopreneurship: The Digital Path to Business Resilience”, brought together leading technopreneurs, representatives of public and private sector organizations, Eco-system players, representatives of academia and leading development partners, as well as young aspirants.
