ILO PROSPECTS: Results at a glance (September 2026)

This results sheet provides an overview of the PROSPECTS Partnership, a flagship initiative launched in 2018 and currently in its second phase through 2027. Spearheaded by the Government of the Netherlands, the Partnership brings together the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the International Labour Organization (ILO), the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the World Bank.

PROSPECTS supports a shift from short-term humanitarian assistance to longer-term, development-centred solutions. By strengthening national systems and institutions, the Partnership addresses the shared and evolving needs of refugees and host communities and contributes to more inclusive societies.

Within the PROSPECTS Partnership, the ILO works with governments, employers’ and workers’ organizations to advance decent work and promote the inclusion of forcibly displaced persons and host communities in national labour markets. Grounded in international labour standards, the ILO’s work focuses on strengthening systems for inclusion through skills development, social protection, local economic development and access to enterprise opportunities.
