Emergency evacuation response plan for Sri Lankan migrants

The Emergency Evacuation Response Plan for Sri Lankan migrant workers, commissioned by the International Labour Organization (ILO) under the Safe Labour Migration Project, is designed to address the unique challenges faced by migrant workers during crises. Structured around four key stages: preparedness, crisis response, recovery, and reintegration, the response plan focuses on three priority areas: mental health and psychosocial support, healthcare services, and gender-responsiveness.

This policy brief aim to ensure a focused approach in disseminating the core of the emergency evacuation plan and its application in Sri Lanka by a whole of government and society modality. The methodology in compiling this plan ensured that it is comprehensive, evidence-based, and sensitive to the real-life needs of migrant workers.
