Emergency employment in the Occupied Palestinian Territory
Employment promotion is a primary goal of the International Labour Organization's (ILO) Emergency Response Plan's (ERP) Recovery Programme in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. The ERP is supported by a multi-donor pooled funding arrangement through which the Governments of Belgium, the Netherlands, Indonesia, and the Walloon Region (Belgium) have contributed, as well as by internal ILO resources and external resources from the Government of Kuwait.
The ERP applies the Employment-Intensive Investment Programme (EIIP) approach, the ILO's proven approach to turning crisis into opportunity. Instead of simply providing relief, we leverage investment to create jobs that rebuild the affected area. This isn't just a temporary solution; it's a strategic, longterm plan for sustainable recovery.
