In 2020, under the framework of the Decent Work Country Programme (DWCP), the ILO began implementation of the employment intensive investment (EII) approach in Iraq, as a key approach in meeting both humanitarian and development needs by working simultaneously across four dimensions: direct implementation, productive partnerships, Institutional capacity, and policy support.
