ILO and cooperatives raise awareness, promote labour rights on farms in Jordan

Jordan’s agricultural sector provides a critical source of income for many workers, including Jordanians, refugees and migrant workers. The ILO and a number of agricultural cooperatives are working together to ensure that workers are well informed of their rights and responsibilities at work through awareness raising sessions held on farms. These include information sessions on Jordan’s labour law, work permits regulations, social security and Occupational Safety and Health. The sessions are part of broader efforts being implemented by PROSPECTS to advance decent work for workers in the agriculture sector.
