How the ILO supports digital transformation of Uganda's Industrial Court

5 December 2024

Explore the groundbreaking efforts of ILO PROSPECTS to digitize Uganda's Industrial Court. The first phase introduced note taking computer tablets to judicial officers and panelists representing workers and employers, enhancing their ability to process and resolve labour disputes efficiently. The second phase is focusing on digitalizing court halls strategically located near refugee-hosting locations, starting with Kampala, Mbarara and Lira districts.

Watch as the ILO paves the way for future expansions across Uganda’s Industrial Court sub-registries, aligning with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals to leave no one behind. This digital transformation reduces case backlogs, streamlines processes, and improves access to justice for all workers and employers.
