The establishment of a brand helped him gain the customers’ trust

Sherzad Salih Khader, 29, from Sinjar, Iraq, participated in the Generate your Business (GYB) training, which helped him generate a business idea commensurate with his experience and capabilities, and Start your Business (SYB) training, where he learned to develop a viable business plan.

Sherzad owns a device repairing business. Before providing any service to his clients, Sherzad performs a full examination of the devices that will be repaired and records all the costs that will be charged to each customer as well as labor wages. This transparency instills greater confidence in the customer and provides the customer with the choice to approve or reject the offer and choose the service based on their financial capabilities.

In the SIYB training, Sherzad learned the importance of establishing a brand to gain the trust of his customer base. In addition, he also learned the great potential of marketing in increasing sales. His new strategy has incorporated imagery, advertising, and business card distribution, leading to higher numbers of inquiries about his services.

SIYB training has had a direct impact on my work productivity and performance. The training gave me a better understanding of my responsibilities, improved the knowledge and skills I needed, as well as my self-confidence to run this project optimally.
