The year 2018 marked our 10-year anniversary. This milestone did not go unnoticed, with plenty of events organized throughout the year to mark the occasion. In a year of many highlights, what were some of the most important insights drawn from the industry? Below are our three most popular Emerging Insights from 2018.
- The financial lives of cocoa farmers in Côte d’Ivoire. Côte d’Ivoire is the world’s largest cocoa producer. Over 900,000 cocoa farmers are active in the country, but 90 per cent of them are smallholder farmers, owning less than five hectares of land and having little access to formal financial services? How can we improve their resilience?
- Ten years of impact insurance. Reflecting on key trends in the industry over the last decade, we compiled an infographic illustrating the some of the remarkable changes that have taken place.
