Creating new opportunities for youth with skills training
This video collage highlights the voices of youth from Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq and Syrian refugees living in these countries explaining why skills development are key to employment.
In 2014, the United Nations General Assembly declared 15 July as World Youth Skills Day, to celebrate the strategic importance of equipping young people with skills for employment, decent work and entrepreneurship.
The theme for World Youth Skills Day 2023 is "Skilling teachers, trainers and youth for a transformative future". In line with this message, this video captures the experiences of several youth from JORDAN, Lebanon and Iraq, and Syrian refugees living in these countries.
ILO PROSPECTS is providing youth with opportunities to build new skills, improve their employability and transition to the labour market.
