An analysis of SADC migration instruments in light of ILO and UN principles on labour migration

International migration has reached unprecedented levels and has become an important global phenomenon. A complex web of inter-related factors underlies the process of cross-border migration. The push-pull framework conceptualizes migration in terms of the factors driving migrants to leave their home countries and the factors attracting them to settle in destination countries.
