The ILO Office for Central America, Haiti, Panama and the Dominican Republic was established in 1969, and is based in the San José, Costa Rica. It serves eight members states located in Central America and the Caribbean: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and the Dominican Republic.
Support to constituents in the countries covered is provided through an ILO Decent Work Team and the execution of technical cooperation projects as well, that address priority challenges identified by the countries of the region.
The ILO Office for Central America, Haiti, Panama and the Dominican Republic reports directly to the Regional Director of the ILO’s Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean, which is located in Lima, Peru.
