Women industrial workers in an opening economy: the case of Mexico

Based on a survey of Mexican manufacturing establishments carried out in 1992. Analyses the situation of women in Mexico’s manufacturing sector from 1989 to 1992, a period of structural adjustment in preparation for the open trade era opened by the birth of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
