Using Technology to Link Skills with Jobs and Migration

As an effort to bridge the skills and migration systems of India, a pilot project was undertaken by ILO. An external entity, KPMG was asked to review the project and present a model for future linkages between skills and migration. This report capture details of the pilot project, lessons learned and provide inputs for the way forward via a model.

This report aims to demystify the challenges met during the pilot project and designs a model that attempts to resolve some of the difficulties, both in the short-term and the long-term. It is hoped that this project will provide inputs to policy makers and practitioners that can assist to bridge the skilling and migration systems of the country.
