Thailand: Harmonizing the anti-traffickers

The landmark memorandum of understanding that the nine northern provinces adopted in 2003 required concerted action to help human trafficking victims. It also obligated each province to set up a coordination mechanism for developing and implementing policies, plans and prevention activities.

Of course, developing coordinated actions is time consuming and requires careful management to deal with the many sensitivities between government and non-government agencies and organizations.
