Summary report: Assessment-based national dialogue on social protection in Lao People's Democratic Republic

Assessment-based national dialogue (ABND) is a methodology to assess existing social protection provisions and develop recommendations for the extension of a social protection floor (SPF). An SPF can provide basic income security to all people in Lao People's Democratic Republic, especially the poor and vulnerable. It is a step towards the development and future extension of the national social protection system. The assessment and recommendations from this process were used as a foundation to develop the National Social Protection Strategy 2021-25.
