STRATEGY: To promote freedom of association in the palm oil sector

This campaign strategy document is developed by the Malaysian Trades Union Congress with a view to promoting freedom of association in the palm oil sector, as well as increasing trade union membership among local and migrant workers in the sector in the immediate future.

This work is supported by the ILO’s Advancing Workers’ Rights in the Palm Oil Sector in Indonesia and Malaysia Project (Palm Oil), and aims to contribute to the elimination of forced labour, child labour and discrimination in employment which, together with FOA and the right to collective bargaining (CB), is part of the fundamental principles and rights at work (FPRW).
