The state of informal employment in Mongolia: Survey report

Informal employment has been one of the most enduring social issues in Mongolia, which requires appropriate solutions. This report presents the results of the informal employment survey for Mongolia, which was undertaken to understand the current state of informal employment in the country. It identified the working conditions of those in informal employment, the reasons for accepting informal employment, the opportunities for formalization and the impact of COVID-19 pandemic. The study further collected views on whether government policies and programmes have been accessible to informal employment workers during the pandemic.
