Social Dialogue Session on the Social Security Law

In line with ILO’s tripartite mandate and in response to requests generated by the Jordan Chamber of Industry and the General Federation of Jordanian Trade Unions during the month of September 2021, the ILO supported a social dialogue session on recently announced amendments to the Social Security Law on October 13th, 2021.

In line with ILO’s tripartite mandate and in response to requests generated by the Jordan Chamber of Industry and the General Federation of Jordanian Trade Unions during the month of September 2021, the ILO supported a social dialogue session on recently announced amendments to the Social Security Law on October 13th, 2021. The session provided an opportunity to gather comments and observations on priorities for social security reform in Jordan from workers, employers and civil society organizations. The following organizations participated in the session: Jordan Chamber of Industry, General Federation of Jordanian Trade Unions, Tamkeen, Arab Renaissance for Democracy and Development (ARDD), Workers’ Centre and Phenix Centre. The ILO is committed to further engage its constituents in Jordan on the matter and promote tripartite dialogue throughout the process of reform, in line with international social security standards.
