Skills training on food processing and handling for the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of Zamboanga City

The aim of the joint project was to foster sustainable development and revenue generation to the targeted communities by providing skills training to facilitate employment for the IDPs.

Through the collaboration of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) as the front liner in the delivery of basic services to the vulnerable sectors of the society and the lead government agency in the implementation of this project of which the main responsibilities is the identification and profiling of potential beneficiaries for pre-employment; the Technical Education and Skills Development (TESDA), the lead government agency that provides technical and skills training; and the Century Pacific Foods, Inc. (CPFI) who committed to provide employment opportunities to the TESDA graduates as top priority had conducted the joint project last May-July 2016.
