Safety and health in the non-ferrous metals industries

Provides workers, employers and governments with practical safety and health guidelines for non-ferrous metals production, aluminium, copper, lead, manganese and zinc. Focuses on general principles of prevention and protection, including risk assessment and management, training, and workplace and health surveillance. Identifies and examines a range of physical hazards commonly encountered in the production of non-ferrous metals such as noise, vibration, heat stress, radiation, confined spaces, dust and chemicals.
