Research of informal employment in Viet Nam current situation and solution

This paper is among few policy oriented studies on informal employment and employment sector which have been carried out in Viet Nam. The study does not have the ambition to cover all the aspects of labour and informal employment in Viet Nam but it focuses on identifying the features of informal labour and informal sector in Vietnam as well as their impacts on the society and community.

By better defining the inner function of the concept about labour and informal employment in Vietnam on the point of policy advisors; researching coverage of the legal system, Vietnam government policies related to Vietnam those who participated in the informal employment; analyzing labor market data in recent years, confusing items will be clarified to be able to advise policy makers, build, adjust and implement policies more effectively. This report will provide a basis for planning a survey to seek information for policymakers on informal labour and employment in Vietnam in the coming years and for a far future.
