Model Policy against Violence and Harassment in the Workplace

With support from the Norwegian Government, the International Labour Organization (ILO) has supported Employers' Consultative Association of Malawi (ECAM) to develop a Model Policy against Violence and Harassment in the Workplace to assist workplaces, including public and private sectors; small and large organizations alike, to come up with their own specific policies that will cover all forms of violence and harassment, including physical, verbal, psychological, and sexual, so that workplaces are free from violence and harassment. This will ensure that enterprises provide a safe and secure working environment for all employees, regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or other personal characteristics.
