Manual for labour inspection during the pandemic

The pandemic shall not stop the implementation of labour inspection activities; thus, innovations are needed by making the best use of existing facilities and infrastructures as well as technologies.

The Ministry of Manpower through the Directorate General of Labour Inspectorate and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in collabouration with ILO Jakarta have made efforts to formulate changes to the procedures for labour inspection during the pandemic through this guideline. Labour inspectors are expected to make the best use of available resources in order to implement labour inspection activities online, offline or through a combination of both as described in labour inspection steps of this guideline.

Publication of this book is therefore aimed to improve the quality and effectiveness of the inspection mechanisms based on integrity and credibility to implement one of the 9 (nine) leaps of the Ministry of Manpower through labour inspection reform.
